I am a representational artist seeking inspiration from natural and manmade forms. The foundation for my work is creating compositions that emphasize spatial and light and shadow relationships, perspective, negative space, and complimentary tone and color. The goal is to create interest in the painting as art that has been created and designed, rather than fidelity to accuracy of the subject.
